POSTDOCS and FELLOWS

Apply now to join our group as a postdoctoral Fellow! We support self-motivated applicants pursuing external funding. Here are some supported fellowship schemes:

  • Schmidt Science Fellowships Successful applicants will receive a personal stipend of US$110,000 per year for up to two years of postdoctoral study in a different area from their PhD, at any approved location worldwide.
  • BBSRC Fellowship Scheme.BBSRC Fellowship Scheme (previously Discovery Fellowships) supports researchers who have demonstrated great potential to become future leaders.
  • 1851 Research Fellowship. Open to candidates intending to conduct research in any of the physical or biological sciences, in mathematics, in applied science, or in any branch of engineering.
  • Newton Research Fellowship. This fellowship is for non-UK scientists who are at an early stage of their research career and wish to conduct research in the UK.
  • EMBO Fellowship. This fellowship supports internationally mobile postdoctoral researchers in Europe and around the world.
  • Leverhulme Early Career Fellowship. For early career researchers with a research record but who have not yet held a full-time permanent academic post, to undertake a significant piece of publishable work.

  • Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) – PhD fellowships. The Boehringer Ingelheim Fonds (BIF) awards PhD fellowships to European citizens working in Europe or overseas and to non-European citizens pursuing their PhD projects in Europe.
  • President’s PhD Scholarship. This competitive scheme has higher than usual eligibility requirements, attracting candidates that show excellent academic performance and promising research potential.
